<p><a href="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/gingerbread-2.jpg" rel="thumbnail"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8693" title="gingerbread 2" src="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/gingerbread-2.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="308" /></a>Choosing two of the trendiest patterns on the market right now, Charynn used a piping bag to frost these cookies with both a clover pattern and a chevron.  Cute, right?!  (and yes, I will be using this as inspiration for my Christmas cookies this year!)</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/gingerbread.jpg" rel="thumbnail"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8694" title="gingerbread" src="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/gingerbread.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="316" /></a>I also love the idea of decorating cookies with initials.  They could make a darling placecard for a holiday dinner, or a cute gift idea! (make one for each member of the family and wrap them up on a cute plate&#8230;.so simple, so cute and thoughtful!)</p>

<p><a href="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/cookie-jars.jpg" rel="thumbnail"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7964" title="cookie jars" src="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/cookie-jars.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="390" /></a>Gallon cookie jars were accessorized with coordinating <a href="http://www.whhostess.com" target="_blank">paper liners</a>, <a href="http://www.whhostess.com" target="_blank">cookie jar tags</a> and ribbon, and each held a different type of cookie.  <a title="french macaroons" href="http://www.sweetandsaucyshop.com/" target="_blank">French macaroons</a>, <a title="pink polka dot chocolate-covered oreo cookies" href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/sweetiesbykim" target="_blank">chocolate-covered {with pink polka dots} oreos</a>, <a title="sugar cookies" href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/batches" target="_blank">sugar cookies in the shape of &#8220;1&#8243;</a>, <a title="jam filled cookies" href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/PattyBakesCookies" target="_blank">jam-filled cookies</a> and more&#8230;..  <a title="wooden tongs" href="http://www.cuptainers.com/index.cfm?CFID=825963&amp;CFTOKEN=90147677" target="_blank">Wooden tongs</a> were placed in front of each jar for easy serving.  To give the back row of cookie jars a boost up, and give the table a new dimension, a moss-covered riser was placed in the center and held both the jars and a DARLING tiered <a title="cake by sweet and saucy shop" href="http://www.sweetandsaucyshop.com/" target="_blank">cake</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/bake-shoppe-details.jpg" rel="thumbnail"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7962" title="bake shoppe details" src="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/bake-shoppe-details.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="800" /></a>Guests went home with take out boxes full of cookies and the kiddos also took home a tin of bubbles {accessorized with a custom label}.  I love how she tied in the moss from the dessert table by lining her lucite trays with it!</p>

<p><a href="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/sweet-surprise.jpg" rel="thumbnail"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7585" title="sweet surprise" src="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/sweet-surprise.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="372" /></a>I used a black console from our home as the table.  Not only did I want the black piece as the focal point, but I also loved how I was able to play with decorating the shelves!  And for a kids party&#8230;.those candy jars were right at their level!  The table was framed with pom pom garlands that I made from craft-store finds.  I draped several garlands on each side to look like a set of drapes, and placed a hanging sign in the middle.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.candywarehouse.com/">Candy Warehouse</a> supplied me with an amazing assortment of <a href="http://www.candywarehouse.com/greencandy.html">green candy</a>.  I loved playing with the different shades, and by putting them in different glass apothecary jars and containers, it made for a really sweet look.  I did pop in a couple of containers of white candy for a little &#8220;pop!&#8221;  I asked two of my favorite dessert table ladies to create goodies for me &#8211; Charynn from <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/TwoSugarBabies?ga_search_query=twosugarbabies&amp;ga_search_type=seller_usernames">Two Sugar Babies</a> made incredible fondant toppers for my big cupcakes (can you believe how perfectly she matched our silhouette and exploded lattice pattern?) and <a href="http://allysonjane.blogspot.com/">Allyson Jane</a> made us fabulous couture cookies with our coordinating patterns on them.  Tip: I always line my platters with coordinating paper&#8230;..it helps pull together the theme!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/dessert-table-details.jpg" rel="thumbnail"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7582" title="dessert table details" src="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/dessert-table-details.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="552" /></a>The table was &#8220;branded&#8221; with coordinating <a href="http://whhostess.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=273_275_278_282&amp;products_id=1441">food tent cards</a>, <a href="http://whhostess.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=273_275_278_282&amp;products_id=1171">candy jar tags</a> and of course, <a href="http://whhostess.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=273_275_278_282&amp;products_id=1173">cupcake toppers</a>.  I had white, metal tins (dressed up with polka dot ribbon and a darling <a href="http://whhostess.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=273_275_278_282&amp;products_id=1172">sticker</a>) for the kids to fill up with candy to bring home.  Not only is it a perfect party favor, but it also serves as an activity during the party&#8230;..our birthday girl had a fabulous time selecting candy to put in her tin!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/party-favors.jpg" rel="thumbnail"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7584" title="party favors" src="http://www.thepartydress.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/party-favors.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="300" /></a>Photography by Sisterazzi Photography</p>

<p>If you are looking for some cute packaging for your holiday treats, look no further than these darling gingerbread boxes.  The perfect vessel to deliver all of your holiday cookies and candy, and they can be customized to the size you want (you make them, you decide the size!).  Made simply of gingerbread squares, and glued together with royal icing&#8230;.here are the instructions from <a href="http://www.houseandhome.com/design/gingerbread-boxes" target="_blank">House and Home</a>:</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Step 1</strong></span></p>
<p>Enlarge the templates on <a href="http://www.houseandhome.com/design/gingerbread-boxes" target="_blank">House and Home</a> on a photocopier, but we recommend making these boxes no larger than 6” square. Otherwise, they’ll be too fragile.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Step 2</strong></span></p>
<p>Cut the gingerbread squares using the templates. Bake cookies.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Step 3</strong></span></p>
<p>&#8220;Glue&#8221; together and hide edges using <a href="http://www.houseandhome.com/food/recipes/gingerbread-square-cookies-recipe">Royal Icing</a>.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Step 4</strong></span></p>
<p>Place gift inside, and wrap with ribbons to reinforce.</p>
