I’m a [...]]]> One of my favorite features in the latest The Party Dress Magazine was the burger bash photo shoot I did…..preppy seersucker, bold stars and a hint of patriotic pizzazz.  A burger bash is the perfect time to gather friends and family this Fourth of July.  Good food, and good friends….that’s what the holidays are about, right?

I’m a sucker for seersucker, so our party was designed around a blue and white color palette, with pops of red!  Floral pomander balls made from craft-store carnations served as centerpieces. The festive party space was dressed up with pennant banners, polkadot and striped paper fans, centerpiece sticks, lanterns, and coordinating food tent cards, candy jar tags and cupcake toppers.

I love creating buffet tables with bite-size food – so for this bbq, we made an assortment of burgers – sliders with brie and carmelized onions, cheeseburger kabobs, and burger bites served on waffle fries.  Cups of fries and fresh pickles complimented the main course, and everyone saved room for dessert!

A patriotic dessert table was full of candy, cupcakes with fondant stars by Two Sugar Babies, hand-iced cookies by Allyson Jane, cupcakes, and s’mores kits for the kids.

Happy Monday, Ladies!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Christmas is getting closer and closer, and although I am sure you are all crazed getting ready – I do hope you will take a few minutes out of your day this week to view the next bunch of fabulous Holiday Table Challenge entries.  Today’s entry is from the fabulous Jessica Kirkland from Pen N’ Paperflowers Design Studio.  Always wowing us with her creative parties and her “keeping it real” section of each blog post, Jessica also offers a darling collection of invitation and party designs through her etsy shop.  Her sweet holiday table is sure to inspire you, read on for more details as told by Jessica herself:

A Holiday Breakfast is the perfect way to spread holiday cheer this season.  Gather some friends, neighbors, best girlfriends or extended family together during the month of December and take a minute to share each other’s company and take a breather from the host of holiday activities that tend to consume all of us. Send them off with homemade favors of pumpkin butter and a bag of simmering potpourri. Or…surprise your kids/family on Christmas morning with a festive spread of holiday breakfast foods.

I created a simple Holiday Breakfast table consisting of: Raspberry Crumble Muffins, Quiche Lorraine, Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls, Cranberry Scones, Cinnamon Nut mini Bread Loafs, and a Oatmeal bar containing cinnamon, raisins, dried cranberries & brown sugar

I also included homemade favors for guests to take home: jars of pumpkin butter, and bags of simmering potpourri.

My favorite idea: Use brown coffee filters as a creative way of wrapping up mini bread loafs as well as topping off jars of homemade pumpkin butter (or jams).

I have a darling party to share with you today!  A darling BOY birthday party….which I know you all think is hard to come by!  This is an amazing example of a stylized party that appeals to both little boys and their parents!  I was contacted by Gavin’s mom to help her out with some party goods for her son’s upcoming 3rd birthday party.  Since he was turning “3″, they decided they wanted to have a “3 alarm fire” birthday party.  Cute, right?!

Held in a local Kansas City park, this party is stocked full of charming, Midwest details….red and white check table cloths, a vintage toy fire truck placed center stage on the buffet table, and delicious food including fire roasted corn, summer cous cous, mini steak sandwiches, cupcakes and whoopie pies for dessert (wait until you see the pictures below….delicious!).

WH Hostess made the cupcake toppers that were stuck in the cupcakes and whoopie pies, stickers that were placed on red party favor bags, and our centerpiece sticks were placed into red and yellow floral centerpieces.

Gavin’s mom did a beautiful job styling this party!  It’s always so fun for me to see our WH Hostess party goods styled at parties….I still get such a kick out of it!  I think this theme is just darling for summer and fall boy birthday parties, and could be perfect for a baby shower, too.  Take a peak below at all of the items we offer in the collection:

A table setting with over-sized vases, and single blooms as the centerpiece.  A small-printed napkin tied with a fresh leaf from the garden.  Drink dispensers full of flavored waters, and lemonades.  A lemonade packet with a customized label as a party favor for all of my friends.

I can’t wait for SPRING!  What type of parties are you dreaming about throwing?!

P.S. This would be a darling theme for a baby or bridal shower, too!
