Beth Beattie Branding, PR and Events offers this full range of creative services to clients in the retail, nonprofit and service industries. Based in Palm Beach, Florida, it is her passion to create events that incorporate each client’s individual vision, personality and style. I love Beth’s Palm Beach style and have featured a few of her parties on The Party Dress (did you see her fabulous coral baby shower recently?).
Being based in Florida, it’s only fitting that Beth created a “Coastal Christmas” table setting for our Holiday Table Challenge. I’m not the only one that thinks it’s spectacular….The Palm Beach Daily News thinks so too! When Beth told them about our Holiday Table Challenge and the innovative table she put together, they decided to write a story about it! Check it out here.
After planning a coral baby shower and a starfish surprise 30th birthday party, I thought it would be fun to incorporate that theme into a “Coastal Christmas.” To get started, I saw starfish garland at one of my favorite local home decor stores, Pineapples, Palms, etc. I then came across the starfish Christmas trees at The Back Porch and that is when I decided to add the turquoise color to the white, cream and gold palette. I hope you enjoy the natural, seaside twist to Christmas.
List of resources: starfish cake pops, turquoise chargers, placemats, dinner plates, salad plates, wine glasses

I am so excited to kick off The Party Dress’s first ever “blogger’s challenge!” The holiday season has been kicked into full gear this week…the shopping, the decorating, the party planning…and I want to make sure you have ideas and inspiration for every event you may be participating in this season.
I presented a blogger’s challenge to some of my favorite bloggers, stylists, bakers, and friends: create a holiday table to inspire my readers. It could be a table setting, dessert table or kid’s holiday party table. No rules, no restrictions, no suggestions. Just create something that speaks to your individual style! WAIT until you see what I got back! Ideas and AMAZING inspiration from some of the most talented people I know. And I can’t wait to share them with you!
So, keep your eyes peeled over the course of the next couple of weeks. In addition to my normal posting, there will be a new Holiday Table Challenge post every day. Get excited ladies, there is a whole lot of fabulous-ness coming your way!

Today’s party is bold and colorful….perfect for a winter Wednesday! Chloe’s mom contacted me this fall to create a stationery suite for her daughter’s first birthday. She wanted a modern barbie theme and had already picked out the birthday girl’s darling outfit, which inspired the whole collection! A hot pink, black and white color palette was born, throw in a touch of zebra print and a modern “barbie” silhouette….and voila! This is one cute party!
I’m in love with the chalkboard sign that welcomed guests to Chloe’s party! What a fun piece to have in your home! A patterned banner decorated the party space and the dessert table took the center stage.
The dessert table was covered with black and white polka dot linens, and was pulled back with two large pink bows. I love how the use of all glass jars, bowls and cake stands really made the hot pink candy POP! on the table. Coordinating candy jar tags, cupcake toppers and food tent cards helped to carry the theme throughout the party, as did the darling couture cookies by Allyson Jane Designer Desserts.
Barbie dolls (tied with a coordinating gift tag) were sent home with each child as their party favor….cute and fun, right?! I love the energy of this party! So bright and festive….a great way to celebrate Chloe’s first birthday! I think this party is a perfect example of how to host a cute party indoors (I get so many questions about this during the winter!). Great job, Wendy!

When it comes to decorating my home for Christmas, the first color I reach for is green. Shocking, right? I love combining the deep forest green, grass green and chartreuse together…especially when there is a touch of shimmer involved. Better Homes and Gardens is a great resource for decorating and tabletop ideas, and this season I was especially drawn to their ideas centered around the green color palette.
I am completely swooning over this ornament tree above. How fabulous would it be hung over your holiday buffet table?! Each of the images below shows off a unique idea using greenery, candy or gift-wrapped packages – and I adore each of them!

Are you entertaining friends or family the day after Thanksgiving? I always find that weekend challenging for entertaining – it’s a great weekend to do it with friends and family in town, everyone feeling the festive Thanksgiving spirit. However, I start to decorate my house for Christmas that weekend, so I always feel a little too dis-organized for entertaining!
One idea I had for making this process a bit smoother, is to decorate with items that work for both holidays! Take the picture above from Pottery Barn – the rustic colors lend itself to Thanksgiving decor, but the twig stars can carry you all the way through Christmas! Natural centerpieces are also a great way to go – a bowl full of artichokes, or pomegranates will add texture and color to your table.
Re-purpose your leftover turkey by serving a turkey pot pie for dinner, add in a side of maple-glazed acorn squash and a delicious chocolate souffle cake for dessert! YUM! Your guests won’t even realize they are eating leftover turkey!
