Like many others around the world, chef Bobby Flay believes Oscar night is cause for celebration! This year, Bobby is hosting a 400 guest event at the South Beach Food & Wine Festival. His signature drink for the evening is a Sparkling Pear Cocktail – if it’s good enough for his friends, I bet it’s good enough for mine! Enjoy!
Sparkling Pear Cocktail
16 oz. pear nectar
2 bottles champagne, prosecco or other sparkling wine, very cold
1 pear, halved, seeded and thinly sliced
Thirty minutes before serving, place the champagne flutes in the freezer to chill. Place 2 tbsp. of the pear nectar and 1 slice of pear in the bottom of each glass, top with the sparkling wine. Serve immediately.

Chocolate is perhaps one of my most favorite things in life. I love the candy and I love the color…especially when it is paired with pink!
When I needed an idea for a birthday party for one of my friends, I decided to pair some of her favorite things together: chocolate, champagne, and beautiful flowers.
The result?!? A chocolate buffet!
Anchored by not one, but two adorable birthday cakes, the chocolate buffet consists of delectable sweets all done in pink and chocolate brown. Brownie pops, truffles, chocolate candy bars with custom labels, bowls of pink candy…..it is almost too cute to eat! I said, almost…
Gorgeous pink flowers, heavenly desserts and of course, champagne….it has the makings for a lovely party that could be used not only for a birthday but also a bridal shower.

Preppy Navy, White and Yellow…stripes and polka dots…fresh seafood…bright colored flowers…a charming village on the sea…and a picturesque sailboat as your get-a-way car! This is a dream wedding!
I love all of the bright, vibrant colors and the play on patterns. You can picture yourself as the bride or a guest having the time of your life at this party…it is just so playful and festive!

I am one of those people who still truly believes in the hand-written note.
Whether it be to say “thank you”, “congratulations” or just “I’m thinking of you”….I think deep down everyone loves getting a special piece of mail once in a while! I recently fell in love with these adorable labels from Paper Source (www.paper-source.com).
What a fabulous way to dress up your envelopes!

I admit it…I have Spring Fever! I find myself day-dreaming about sunshine, flowers and the smell of freshly cut grass. I long for the days when friends gather for a bbq on the beach, a glass of wine on the patio, or a visit to the local farmer’s market. Unfortunately, the weather isn’t cooperating with my day-dreams….at least not this week! So it’s up to me to create a sunny afternoon with friends!
Here is inspiration for a casual Saturday lunch with the girls…

I am in love with a pair of shoes. I can’t explain my love affair….but nothing can make me feel more beautiful or confident like a good pair of shoes. And these, my friend……these are a spectacular pair of shoes!
Christian Louboutin rarely disappoints, but when I saw these pink satin tulip pumps…..I want to create a party just so I have an opportunity to wear these!
