Founded in February of 2009 by Kelly Lyden, The Party Dress is a website dedicated to all things entertaining.  It provides daily eye candy and entertaining tips to encourage our readers to get creative!  The Party Dress focuses on everyday ideas, children’s birthday parties, theme parties and special events such as bridal and baby showers, and weddings.  It provides countless ideas for planning a modern party, and showcases the newest products in the market.  A quarterly magazine launched in 2011 and now provides even more inspiration for creating unique events.

Inspired by the gorgeous parties that we showcase every day, WH Hostess, a social stationery company was born.  Known for designing products for the modern hostess with our colorful patterns, touch of preppy pizzazz, and impeccable quality set our product apart from others.  From birth announcements, to invitations, to cupcake toppers and decorations….let WH Hostess help you plan the party of your dreams.

Kelly Rohlfs Lyden is known for her updated, yet classic style with a touch of preppy pizzazz.  Readers crave her fresh party style and flock to her lifestyle + entertaining blog, The Party Dress, daily for inspiration. Her approach to planning parties is unique and approachable – focused on a color palette, an icon, or a classic theme that needs to be updated.  Kids parties are Kelly’s specialty: she incorporates elements that you would typically see at adult events, but executes the design in a way that appeals to children.  She believes in branding a party with paper goods – pulling together elements such as cupcake toppers, decorations, dessert table signage and party favor packaging that all coordinates back to the invitation and theme.

In 2012, Kelly Lyden created the patent-pending product, Cake Plate Clings. A series of decorative linings designed for cake stands, pedestals and serving dishes, they offer a fresh, reusable update to the traditional disposable paper doilies and liners. They are used for decoration, placed under the food for ornamentation, and are offered in vibrant colors and patterns from WH Hostess Social Stationery. Cake Plate Clings are reusable, washable, non-adhesive, slide-free and use environmentally-friendly ink and material, and can be personalized with monograms and initials.

Kelly is penning her first book, “Stylish Kids Parties for the Modern Hostess” (F+W Media, Inc.) will be launching Fall 2013 and feature unique, never seen before parties by WH Hostess Social Stationery, DIY party ideas and more. Kelly is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring you even more party inspiration, and do what she loves best…..styling kids parties that put a smile on both the kid and parent’s faces!
