The Party Dress Magazine, Spring 2012 + Giveaway

The day is FINALLY here.  We’re launching the 5th issue of The Party Dress Magazine.  It’s always a labor of love, and I am SO thrilled with how this issue turned out.  Charynn and I, along with a group of amazing contributors, offer you countless ideas for Spring entertaining, stylized kids birthday parties, baby and bridal showers, gift ideas, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day.

This issue is my absolute favorite thus far.  It’s bright and colorful, and will hopefully leave you thoroughly excited for Spring.  Although we love working with current trends, the ideas you will find on the 90 pages of this magazine are timeless and will still be in style 5 years from now.  We encourage you to purchase one of the luxe, glossy, printed editions for future reference.  Hurry up….with a limited print run, we will sell out quickly!

When it comes to producing this magazine, the phrase “it takes a village” comes to mind.  In addition to my trusty assistant editor, Charynn and I, we have a wonderful assortment of top party stylists, bloggers, buyers and shop owners that contributed amazing ideas to inspire you.  A huge thank you goes out to: Sharnel Dollar, Lynlee Beckett, Christi Bennett, Kim Stoegbauer, Casi Densmore-Koon, Beth Beattie, Maggie Hemsworth, Wendy Rossiter Estes and Tiffany Grayce Harris, the buyers from The Land of Nod, Jane Carlisle, and Monica Caparosa, as well as all of our wonderful advertisers.

I just loved all the wonderful Easter ideas, mother’s day, well really I just loved it all!

  • I love love love the carrot and daisy centerpiece! The colors in the magazine were great, I love bright colors, especially for spring. My favorite piece was the children’s party ideas article. Great tips and ideas!

  • I loved all of the ideas in How to Throw a Character Party.

  • I love this issue and website! I had a hard time deciding which article/idea was my favorite, because I love them all and they are all inspiring. But since I have to pick one, I’d have to go with the gift ideas for Mother’s Day. I always run out of ideas and this gave me a lot of creative ones!

Oh the entire magazine is gorgeous, brimming with fantastic spring and party ideas. I love Madelyn’s Birthday. So cute!

  • Amazing job, Kelly! LOVE all of the recipes. I can’t wait to try them out. Shared on FB and twitter too.

  • Kerrie

The color and design combos definitely POP in this issue. I’m swooning over the designs that you have carried over into your own fabric line, Kelley. That’s amazing!

  • Catherine

I am on eye candy overload. Everything was beautifull and very well styled. The details were amazing and inspiring. My favorite, though it is truly difficult to pick, would be the Madeline party. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and sharing the fabulous results.

I am in awe of the children’s parties. Love them all but my favorite is the Sesame Street Cookie party. So clever. This works for girls or boys.

I am so frustrated,I would love to tell you my favorite part of the new issue, but the magazine will not open. I have always been able to access the magazine on-line, but for some reason it is not available. I can get the blog and the different categories, but no magazine! Help

  • Peggy St. Clair

LOVE IT!!! I have bunny fever!

  • It is really hard to pick a favorite part. Each page is an inspiration. Since I own a party and rental business that specializes in luaus, I especially liked the bright colored sherbert in the glass bowls with the paper umbrellas. Thanks for sharing your new magazines!

  • I love the Easter Bunny cupcakes and the bunny butt push pops but the lime centerpiece looks pretty amazing too.

  • Francine

Love the carrot and daisy centerpiece, and the children’s party ideas! Wow!!!!

  • OMGOSH that Easter Egg Hunt spread is divine! We are hosting an egg hunt (as we do every year) and I just LOVE the inspiration!

I will be making that Lime Centerpiece also!

My youngest child’s b’day is on May 5 but if it was not, I would be hosting a party just like the one you featured!

  • Wendy

Absolutely love this magazine! This is wonderful! I love to plan parties and to decorate. This is a wonderful resource! Thank you, thank you! As soon as I saw the lime centerpiece I felt in love with it! It’s very me:)

  • Merideth

I love the Mother’s Day gift basket ideas and the party themes!! So cute and I can’t wait to read all the previous issues!

  • Congrats on another amazing issue! LOVE, LOVE the cover! I loved the Young Explorer party and the how to throw an stylized character party ideas were great!:)

  • Rena

Love the cookie monster party! Everything is gorgeous!!

  • Kelly Leroux

Favorite? Gee, lets just start with the cover alone! But I guess the best part is the part ideas, because I see one I will use for my son’s 2nd birthday. The little red car is awesome, and I know there is a cookie cutter out there the same shape…Yes, these things are now on my pinterst board!

  • Susan

The overall visual appeal – meaning the wonderful use of color and the layout…simple but straightforward, uncluttered, and easy to follow. As for content – the “lemon” pages earn my vote!

  • Wow! Where do I start! Being a baker and decorator, I loved the cute cupcake ideas but I absolutely adored the section on ‘Kids Parties’. The dessert tables were amazing without being too over the top. As a self-taught decorator (who is still learning), magazines and blogs are very educational. Not only was the magazine beautifuly put together, but it is rich in ideas and inspirational for a fledgling decorator like me. Thank you for sharing!

  • Deanna

Love the magazine. Love all the colors. Spring is my FAVORITe season and this gets me sooooo excited to plan a few parties! Would LOVE to win this package!

  • Marie

Happy day, I finally was able to open issue 5! Like so many others, I would love to win hard copies of your lovely magazine. As to my favorite thing in this issue, that is a hard choice. I think that the Easter Egg Hunt with all those carrots and bunnies might just be the winner. But, if I had any little ones, the Kid’s parties section was full of ideas. I also liked the Mother’s Day basket suggestions. And, I think that the Raspberry Lemon Curd cupcakes are definitely in my future. Thank you for a wonderful magazine. MM

  • Although I LOVED every single page of all your issues… I must say that the Eloise at the Park party was sooo cute, unique and full of darling details. My favorite was Nanny’s Liberation station. Every kids party should have one LOL

  • I love the character parties! Great ideas on how to make them look nice!

  • Leslie

So much lovely content it’s hard to pick a favorite :). If I had to choose I would pick the lemon recipes – they all sound so good!
